I have mentioned it before and I love to talk about it, the Ruby Mountains Wilderness Area in Northern Nevada. At one point almost made a national park, but dropped because it was too unlike Nevada. This place is wonderful.
Here Columbine flowers grow against a stone wall besides a small desert stream in the barren desert in Ruby Valley which makes up the foothills of the wilderness area.

The innumerable intimate beauties that exist in this place will have me coming back for the rest of my life.
