For me Bryce Canyon National Park has always been a very difficult place to make satisfying images. I don’t know why, maybe a mental block. Perhaps just how the place is naturally is laid out.
Realizing this I worked hard to do some major pre-visualization of images I wanted to come home with. This wasn’t actually one of them until I had watched a sunrise and saw that based on where the sun was rising it might all be able to come together.
Several mornings the skies were completely clouded over, and there was no sunrise to speak of. On our very last day there I was lucky to have perfect conditions, and got this image.
