Zion Tunnel from the Outside – Day 13

by admin on October 30, 2012

Window in a Sandstone Wall, Utah

Usually when I make my yearly visit to Zion National Park in late October or early November the fall colors are nearly gone. This year (2012) they for the most part had barely started in the canyon.

I took this picture driving up to the Zion tunnel. I was amazed at how high up the canyon wall the window to the tunnel is!

This picture was also just about irresistible because I found my favorite type of light and looked for something to put into the frame.

The secret to great pictures of people, places, things, or whatever is good light. I look for the light first, and just about anything that gets put into the frame is going to look infinitely better than it does in normal bland light.
