November 7, 2012

Oaks in Zion National Park are definitely one of my favorite things to photograph when the fall colors start to show up. I was fortunate to be able to grow up around these beautiful fall colors and seeing them in other places is always a real treat! Especially when you can have some good old [...]

Entrance to Hidden Canyon – Day 19

November 6, 2012

A look at the “crux” of the Hidden Canyon hike. You have to hike across an open rock face with only chains to use for support! I really like this part of the trail, but didn’t take my kids on it with me…maybe when they are a bit more aware of gravity!

November 1, 2012

I love fall colors in Zion National Park in general, but it is nice to be able to find a large variety of colors. Most places that have nice fall colors have yellow and orange, or orange to red. Zion has pink, red, orange, yellow, and sometimes some colors that range to purple! I also [...]

The Perfect Kid Campsite – Day 23

November 1, 2012

This picture shows part of how we had 4 very happy kids camping in Zion National Park for 3 days. A giant rock in our campsite to play on! The fall colors were for mom and dad. This rock looks kind of small with no kids on it, but at it’s peak it is at [...]

Fall Colors High in Zion Canyon – Day 14

October 31, 2012

Some places I just love to visit over and over! Zion Canyon is one of them, and inside of Zion National Park I love the Hidden Canyon Trail. The trail was built with an artistic eye, and the whole way you are treated to amazing views big and small. My trip to Zion this year [...]

Zion Tunnel from the Outside – Day 13

October 30, 2012

Usually when I make my yearly visit to Zion National Park in late October or early November the fall colors are nearly gone. This year (2012) they for the most part had barely started in the canyon. I took this picture driving up to the Zion tunnel. I was amazed at how high up the [...]
